Recollections of Master Takaichi Sayanagi No.2

I was attracted by the Master's Aikido, which was something no one could imitate. He said at the training meet in April 1999 that he would keep working for twenty more years. I didn't doubt his words. We had dinner together after the meeting, and on July 17th of that year, he passed away. It is a great pity that we lost him. But I know the wonderful merits of the Master Takaichi Sayanagi's Aikido. I know how generous the Master's mind was.
"Do not try to win, but just try not to lose. Do not throw the opponent down, but try to guide him or her to fall down. In Aikido the opponent's mind is held in your palm and played as if it were dice, without consciously trying to fight."
With Aikido he taught me in that way, I would like to study and practice and spread Aikido to the world.

We held the memorial demonstration ceremony of deceased Master Takaichi Sayanagi together with Nakamura Aikido Dojo (practice hall) on October 2, 1999.
